Installing ReadyTab

ReadyTab is available for Chrome (and other Chromium browsers) and Firefox. Both versions have the same features — workspaces, Spotlight, notes and tasks, cloud sync, themes, and the desktop companion all work identically.

Chrome, Edge, Brave & other Chromium browsers

Install ReadyTab from the Chrome Web Store.

1. Click Add to Chrome and confirm with Add extension.
2. Open a new tab — that's ReadyTab.

The same listing works in Edge, Brave, Vivaldi, Opera, and Arc: visit the Chrome Web Store from that browser and install it the same way. (Edge may ask you to click Allow extensions from other stores first.)

Updates install automatically through the browser.

Firefox

Get ReadyTab for Firefox from the Download button on readytab.cloud, which takes you to the official Firefox Add-ons listing.

1. Click Add to Firefox and confirm with Add.
2. Firefox shows ReadyTab's data-collection disclosure during install: nothing is collected by default. ReadyTab is local-first — the only optional features that transmit anything are cloud sync (which uploads your board as a client-side-encrypted blob) and Pro license activation (which sends your license key). Both are opt-in.
3. Open a new tab. Firefox asks whether you want to keep the new-tab change — click Keep Changes.

ReadyTab requires Firefox 115 or newer. Updates install automatically through Firefox Add-ons.

Using the companion in Firefox?

The desktop companion (app launchers, folder access, clipboard history) fully supports Firefox — only the install step differs. See Companion setup — Firefox.

After installing

Your first new tab starts with an empty board and an import banner — you can pull in your existing bookmarks with two clicks. From there, the Quick start walks you through building your first workspace.
