Public boards ✦

Publish a space as a read-only public board and share it with anyone via a link — no extension required. The recipient opens a standalone reader page that renders your board exactly as designed.

Pro feature

Publishing public boards is part of ReadyTab Pro.

Not sure this is the right mode?

A public board is one read-only link for the open web. If you'd rather hand someone an editable copy, or broadcast a live read-only board to a team, see Sharing & publishing for all three modes side by side.

Publishing a board

Publish the current space from Settings → Spaces (the publish action on the space). In the publish dialog you choose:

  • Title and an optional Description
  • Whether the title & description show on the board (left, center, or hidden)
  • Whether to include clipboard content in the public copy (off by default)
  • Whether the link never expires (otherwise it expires after 30 days)

The link is generated once the board is published, and you can copy or reopen it from the Published boards list.

What gets shared

The published board is a frozen snapshot. Launcher buttons and custom CSS are stripped from the public copy. Clipboard content is excluded by default — only included if you explicitly opt in, since anyone with the link can read it.

Privacy

  • The snapshot is encrypted in your browser before it is uploaded.
  • The decryption secret lives in the link's URL fragment, so the server never sees your board contents.
  • Anyone with the full link can decrypt and view the board, so treat the link like a password.

Managing published boards

From Settings → Spaces → Published boards you can:

  • Copy the public link again
  • Open the published board
  • Update snapshot — re-publish the current state of the space to the same link, so every viewer sees your latest changes instantly. If the source space isn't on this device, ReadyTab offers to reimport it first so you have something to edit.
  • Extend the expiry by 30 days
  • Delete / revoke a published board

Expiry

Public board links expire after 30 days unless you set them to never expire when publishing.
